Summer Camp is back at In Stitches, our most popular weeks of the year! We are Sew excited for a fun filled summer! Please read the description of this camp below!

Occasionally we will post photos on our social media or use them for our website. Please let us know below if we have permission to take photos of the student.

Sewing kit includes-Tools to use at home such as hand sewing, seam gauge, seam ripper, scissors, pins, sketch book & pencils, an in stitches T-shirt, chalk & thread.

Description

All about fashion Design is all about sewing!!! This camp is where we bring sketches to life & encourage full creativity!

This camp runs Monday-Friday 9am-1pm and is a whole 20 hours of sewing! It is best for ages 8-18. No experience is necessary for this camp and all materials are included in the price. We will have optional, featured projects all summer long for those who need some help with ideas but we encourage creative freedom all summer long! To keep fabric options fresh and trendy, we make sure to fabric shop bi-weekly.

Heres what an average week looks like for a beginner student in our fashion design camp-

First day your child will learn all about their machine and start with a beginner project such as a tote bag, shorts, skirt or Pj pants. After they complete their first project, they will begin to brainstorm and sketch out some ideas they hope to complete/learn during the week. The next day they will begin on a design. Whether they draw it up themselves or search on Pinterest, we bring that idea to life! Depending on the depth of this project, it can take 1-3 days to complete, this varies between project, pattern vs no pattern, & fittings. Our goal is to make it happen in the most time efficient way. After this project is complete, they will move onto the next. We do as many projects as we can in a week of camp! We also offer some thrifted clothes for up-cycling throughout the week!

What exactly is included in the price-

  1. All fabric, Patterns, zippers, buttons anything we need to get projects done
  2. All tools, & machines to borrow during class.

We strongly encourage your child have some ideas before they attend class so there is no time wasted!

Each day we take a short lunch break. At 11 one of our staff take a walk to Dunkin Donuts, your child is welcome to join for the walk. **Please bring a nut free lunch and/or money for an optional walk to Dunkin Donuts.

*NOTE- Due to a very busy and hectic summer schedule, no refunds or make-ups will be offered for missed classes. You may get a partial refund or credit OR reschedule to another week with 10 days notice but availability is not guaranteed.
